Fernando Gargano is CEO at Paras and Associates, a Bay Area company that manages language technology and quality assurance for the Health Care Interpreter Network (HCIN). He is also the founder and CEO of Valhalla Mobile Technologies, a company that builds tablet carts for healthcare organizations. Prior to his current roles, Fernando had nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare language access – first as a Portuguese medical interpreter and later as manager of more than 50 staff interpreters at Cambridge Health Alliance, an HCIN member organization and public safety-net health system affiliated with Harvard and Tufts medical schools. Fernando is a licensed private pilot and studied Aviation Administration at Utah Valley University.
